Superbolt 1.2: chain reactions, the Core and new music
October 21, 2026

Superbolt 1.2 is the biggest update since launch. The heart of the game has been rebuilt around one idea: a held charge should set the whole field ablaze. Your save carries over. Launch the game and choose Continue.

Chain reactions
The field is much denser. Hold a charge, release it, and a chain reaction leaps from node to node, with a combo that counts up live. Automatons now prime nodes, and your shot sets them off in a chain.
The Core
When the world bar is full, the Core appears: a real boss with a heartbeat and a health ring. Destroy it to move on to the next world.
New look, new sound
Lightning has a white-hot core inside a halo in the colour of each world, and all seven worlds have new backgrounds. New music for each world, the menu and the ending, with notes that rise with your chain reactions.
Easier on the eyes
When lightning fills the screen, its glow now dims by itself, so the field no longer washes out to white. Held shots no longer flash the whole screen: each impact stays local.
A clearer interface
The upgrade shop is more compact, and you can fold it away with Tab. One gain number per shot, instead of dozens stacked on top of each other.
